Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta makes changes to his team for the quarter-final match.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named Kieran Tierney and Raheem Sterling in the starting lineup for tonight’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Crystal Palace. Tierney returns to the team after a season-long loan at Real Sociedad, making his first appearance for Arsenal since the 2023 Community Shield Final. Sterling, who joined Arsenal on loan from Chelsea in the summer, is determined to make an impact after limited game time this month.
Arteta has made several changes to the side that faced Everton last weekend, with Thomas Partey, Jakub Kiwior, Jorginho, Ethan Nwaneri, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Jesus also starting. The lineup sees William Saliba, Gabriel, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz on the bench.
David Raya will start in goal, with Neto cup-tied. The defense will be bolstered by Jakub Kiwior and Jurrien Timber, with Thomas Partey at right-back. In midfield, Ethan Nwaneri partners Jorginho and Mikel Merino, with Jorginho captaining the side. The attacking trio will see Sterling, Jesus, and Trossard leading the line.
The match promises to be an exciting encounter as Arsenal aims to advance to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. Fans will be eager to see how Tierney and Sterling perform and whether they can help secure a victory for the Gunners.
