A significant opportunity awaits Arsenal, as the January transfer window prepares to open in just over two weeks, enabling the team to further enhance their squad.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a hint regarding the club’s plans for the upcoming January transfer window. Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Everton, Arteta downplayed expectations of major signings but left the door open for potential opportunities.
“I never expect January to be super busy, but we have to wait and see where we are,” Arteta said. “Some surprises can come. We are prepared for that. Some opportunities too. We have to see. Hopefully, the availability of the squad will be better in a few weeks. We have to wait and see.”
Arsenal currently sits third in the Premier League standings, six points behind Liverpool. The club has been dealing with a series of injuries, including long-term absences for Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu. However, there is hope that defenders Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori could return soon.
