Arsenal face Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon as they aim to maintain pace with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
Arsenal has been dealt a significant blow ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Fulham, with key defenders Gabriel Magalhães, Riccardo Calafiori, and Oleksandr Zinchenko all ruled out due to injuries.
Gabriel Magalhães, who has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers this season, has been struggling with a knee injury. The Brazilian defender was substituted early in recent matches against Sporting CP and West Ham, and missed the entire game against Manchester United. Despite returning to training, Gabriel’s fitness remains uncertain, and he will not be available for the Fulham match.
Riccardo Calafiori, another key defender for Arsenal, has also been dealing with injury issues. He was absent from the squad against Manchester United and has been managed carefully due to his fitness concerns. Unfortunately, Calafiori will not be able to play against Fulham either.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been a reliable presence at left-back, is a fresh concern for Arsenal. The Ukrainian international picked up an injury during training and will also miss the match against Fulham.
With these three defenders out, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will have to make significant adjustments to his lineup. Jakub Kiwior is expected to step in at centre-back, while Thomas Partey will likely fill in at right-back. Jurrien Timber will take over at left-back, and Declan Rice and Jorginho will anchor the midfield.
Arsenal will need to be at their best to secure a victory and maintain their momentum in the title race.
