Piers Morgan believes that Bukayo Saka has conquered his demons after scoring in England’s penalty shootout win over Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarter-final. Three years ago, Saka took England’s fifth penalty in the European Championship final against Italy, but his effort was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma as the Azzurri lifted the trophy at Wembley.
Despite enduring racist abuse following his miss, Saka showed immense bravery by stepping up again on Saturday night after England’s clash with Switzerland ended 1-1 over 120 minutes.

In the shootout, Saka confidently slotted his spot-kick into the bottom corner, bringing a huge smile to his face.
Piers Morgan reacted quickly, tweeting on social media: “BUKAYO!!!! Demons demolished.” Another fan agreed in Morgan’s admission, describing it as “a moment of redemption, courage, and ecstasy.” “Bukayo Saka is HIM.”
Saka’s penalty ensured England’s momentum remained intact after Manuel Akanji’s earlier miss. Ultimately, Gareth Southgate’s men prevailed 5-3 on penalties, converting all five of their attempts.
In regular time, Saka also excelled, rescuing England with a fantastic goal after falling behind to a close-range Breel Embolo strike. Playing in an unfamiliar right wing-back role for most of the match, Saka posed a constant threat and was rightfully awarded the player of the match award.
After the game, he proudly posed with his trophy, celebrating a performance and penalty to be proud of.
