Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reassured fans that the club’s “very ambitious” vision will remain unchanged despite the departure of sporting director Edu Gaspar. Edu, who has been instrumental in Arsenal’s recent successes, has decided to pursue a new role with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.
In a statement, Arteta emphasized the club’s clear and ambitious plan, which starts with the ownership and extends throughout the entire organization. “The plan and vision that starts with the ownership is very clear and very ambitious, and that is going to continue,” Arteta said. He also highlighted the strong leadership team and their commitment to moving the club forward.
Arteta acknowledged Edu’s significant contributions and the special chemistry they shared, but he expressed confidence in the club’s ability to adapt and continue progressing. “We have a very strong leadership team, with unbelievable knowhow, real passion, and great feeling for the football club,” Arteta added.
Despite the surprise exit, Arteta remains optimistic about Arsenal’s future and believes that opportunities for new talent to step up will arise. “We are not going to stop where we are at the moment. Across the club, there is excitement, passion, and understanding of where we want to take this journey,” he concluded.
