Sevilla aims to replace loanees Boubakary Soumaré and Lucien Agoume, with sporting director Victor Orta interested in bringing Lokonga on board.

Discussions are ongoing regarding whether the move will be a loan with an option to buy, but it is agreed in principle that Lokonga will play at Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium next season. Arsenal has requested a loan fee of £2.5 million.

Lokonga recently told VOO Sport, “I think that [my time at Arsenal] is slowly coming to an end. I had a discussion with the club and it was decided that the best solution for me was to leave. I have a one-year contract plus a one-year option, so now it’s up to the club and my agent to find the best solution.”
