Aaron Ramsdale has completed a permanent transfer from Arsenal to Southampton. The England international goalkeeper, who joined Arsenal in 2021, has signed a long-term contract with the Saints. The deal is reported to be worth an initial £18 million, potentially rising to £25 million with performance-related add-ons.
Ramsdale’s time at Arsenal was marked by several notable achievements. He made 89 appearances for the Gunners, earning accolades such as being voted into the PFA Team of the Year for the 2022/23 season and winning the Premier League Save of the Month award in both March and April 2023. Despite these successes, Ramsdale found himself losing his starting position to David Raya last season, which ultimately led to his decision to seek a new challenge.
