Arteta delivers Arsenal injury update as Saliba, Odegaard, and White face fitness tests before Champions League group stage match.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a crucial injury update on William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, and Ben White ahead of the club’s Champions League fixture.

“He wasn’t comfortable continuing… unfortunately he cannot carry on today,” Arteta said.

Although the injury is not considered serious, the club is monitoring his recovery closely. Odegaard’s absence could impact Arsenal’s midfield creativity in the short term.

William Saliba Fitness News

William Saliba has returned to training after suffering an ankle injury against Liverpool. Arteta confirmed that Saliba completed a full training session and is feeling better. However, his participation in the next match is still uncertain.

“The turnaround has been too quick for the extent of the injury… I think he needs a few more days,” Arteta explained.

Saliba’s potential return would be a boost to Arsenal’s defensive line, especially with other players sidelined.

Ben White Injury Status

Ben White remains unavailable for selection. Although he was on the bench during the Forest match, Arteta stated that White is still not fit enough to play or travel with the squad.

“Ben is still out, unfortunately,” Arteta confirmed.

The exact nature of White’s injury has not been disclosed, but his continued absence adds pressure to Arsenal’s defensive options.

Arsenal faces a challenging period with multiple injuries affecting their starting lineup. As the Champions League campaign begins, Mikel Arteta will need to rely on squad depth and tactical flexibility. Fans will be hoping for quick recoveries from Odegaard, Saliba, and White to maintain momentum in both domestic and European competitions.
