Arsenal talented 20-year-old midfielder, Charlie Patino has completed a permanent transfer to Deportivo de La Coruna. The move marks an exciting new chapter in his career after progressing through Arsenal’s youth academy.
Patino joined Arsenal in 2015 and steadily climbed the ranks. He signed his first professional contract in October 2020 and made his first-team debut in December 2021. Last season, he gained valuable experience on loan at Swansea City in the Championship, making 35 appearances and contributing four goals and four assists.
This wasn’t Patino’s first taste of Championship football. In the previous campaign, he spent a season-long loan at Blackpool, where he made 37 appearances and showcased his potential.
Charlie Patino’s memorable first-team debut came as a substitute in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Sunderland at Emirates Stadium in December 2021. He made his first start in senior football shortly after, playing in the FA Cup third-round match against Nottingham Forest in January 2022.
