Crystal Palace are making significant progress in securing the services of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah. The 25-year-old Hale End academy graduate has found himself down the pecking order at Arsenal, competing with the likes of Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard for a starting spot.

Nketiah’s desire for regular playing time has prompted interest from several clubs this summer. Initially, Marseille pursued him, but a deal failed to materialize. More recently, Nottingham Forest was linked with the forward, but they eventually shifted their focus elsewhere.

Now, Crystal Palace has submitted an initial bid for Nketiah, and talks between the clubs are progressing according to David Ornstein. The player himself has expressed openness to joining the South London side, which could provide him with the consistent game time he seeks. If the move goes through, Nketiah could establish himself as a key figure in Oliver Glasner’s squad.
