Arsenal on Alert as Madrid Consider Selling Key Target if he Does not ‘Wake Up’

Arsenal Keen on Rodrygo

Rodrigo Real Madrid Exit Looming as Rod Faces Uncertain Future with Arsenal Plotting Summer Swoop.

Arsenal’s summer transfer plans have taken a dramatic turn, with Real Madrid exit looming for Brazilian forward Rodrygo. The 24-year-old, currently valued at £67.5 million, is now at the center of speculation as Real Madrid reportedly grows frustrated with his recent form—potentially paving the way for a blockbuster move to North London.

The 24-year-old attacker, valued at £67.5 million, has emerged as a top target for Mikel Arteta, who is eager to bolster his attacking options with a versatile forward. Rodrygo, who notched 14 goals and 10 assists last season, has been under scrutiny for inconsistent performances, prompting speculation about his future at the Bernabéu.

According to Spanish outlet Cadena SER, Madrid will consider offers for Rodrygo if he doesn’t “wake up” and improve under new head coach Xabi Alonso. The club is reportedly frustrated with his lack of impact in key moments and his dip in confidence compared to earlier seasons.

“If Rodrygo doesn’t wake up and an offer comes in, he’s more out than in,” said journalist Antonio Romero. “Nobody wants to get rid of the Rodrygo from two or three seasons ago, but if it’s the version from last season, he’s gone”.

Rodrygo is one of several names on Arsenal’s shortlist, alongside Anthony Gordon, Eberechi Eze, and Noni Madueke. The Gunners are looking to add firepower to a squad that came close to winning the Premier League last season.

Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhães has publicly endorsed the move, calling Rodrygo “a phenomenon” and expressing his desire to see his compatriot join the North London side.

With Madrid reportedly demanding €80 million (£67.5m), Arsenal will need to act decisively if they want to secure Rodrygo’s signature. The player’s future may hinge on his performances in the coming weeks, especially during Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign.
