Arsenal Told La Liga Star Could Fix Their Striker Problem

Arteta Arsenal summer signing

Arsenal is searching for a reliable goal scorer—could a La Liga star be the Arsenal Striker Solution Arteta needs?

Arsenal’s ongoing search for a reliable striker has led to speculation about potential reinforcements from La Liga. With Mikel Arteta eager to strengthen his attacking options, former Liverpool striker Fernando Morientes has suggested that Ayoze Pérez could be the Arsenal forward solution to their goal-scoring woes. Pérez, who has impressed in Spain, could provide the finishing touch Arsenal desperately needs in their pursuit of silverware.

Pérez, who left Real Betis for Villarreal in a low-cost transfer, has been in impressive form, scoring consistently and attracting interest from top European clubs. Morientes believes that the Spanish forward’s ability to find the net and create chances could make him an ideal signing for the Gunners.

Another name mentioned in connection with Arsenal is Alexander Sørloth, who struggled during his time in the Premier League with Crystal Palace but has since flourished in Spain. The Norwegian striker has netted 63 goals over the past three seasons for Real Sociedad, Villarreal, and Atletico Madrid, proving himself as one of La Liga’s most effective forwards.

Arsenal’s striker dilemma has become more pressing following another trophy-less campaign. With Kai Havertz leading the club’s scoring charts with just nine Premier League goals this season, Arteta is eager to find a forward who can deliver consistent performances in front of goal. The club has been linked with several high-profile names, including RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, but Morientes believes that players like Pérez and Sørloth could offer a more cost-effective solution.
