Arsenal secured a 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka. However, the win was overshadowed by concerns over Declan Rice, who limped off the pitch in the closing stages of the game.

Rice, who has been a pivotal figure for Arsenal since his transfer, was seen staggering off the field with just five minutes remaining. This raised immediate concerns among fans, particularly considering his crucial role in the team’s midfield.

In his post-match press conference ,Mikel Arteta addressed the situation, providing a much-needed update on Rice’s condition. Arteta confirmed that Rice was merely suffering from cramp and not a more serious injury. “He was cramping a bit,” Arteta explained. “He has not had the longest pre-season ever. He was really trying and put in an unbelievable performance today”.

Despite the scare, Rice’s performance was commendable. He showcased his usual tenacity and skill, contributing significantly to Arsenal’s control of the game. His efforts were part of a broader team performance that saw the Gunners dominate Wolves, with Saka and Havertz finding the back of the net.
