β€œPerez is doing well under the circumstances,” the club said.

They assured fans that the risk of further infection is low. A contact investigation was launched immediately, and no other players or staff have shown symptoms.

Tuberculosis Explained and Treatment Timeline

Tuberculosis is a bacterial infection that primarily affects the lungs. It spreads through airborne particles and requires early detection. Perez is expected to remain in isolation for three to four weeks while undergoing antibiotic therapy.

Perez joined PSV in February as short-term cover for Ricardo Pepi. He played only 24 minutes across three matches before falling ill. His diagnosis is a setback for both the player and the club.
