Arteta Highlights Personal Connection and Responsibility

Lewis-Skelly made his senior debut in September and quickly became a regular. He has made 25 appearances and scored his first goal in Arsenal’s 5–1 win over Manchester City. Tuchel fast-tracked him into the England setup due to a shortage of left-back options.

Arteta also spoke about the personal connection he feels with young players. “They’re almost the age of my oldest son,” he said. “We have a big responsibility.”

Tuchel praised Lewis-Skelly’s potential and plans to accelerate his development at the international level. The call-up reflects the player’s hard work and the support from Arsenal’s coaching staff.
