Saka injury recovery update: Arteta confirms winger is close to full fitness after three-month absence due to hamstring surgery.
Saka injury recovery continues to move in the right direction, with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta confirming the winger is close to full fitness.
Bukayo Saka has been sidelined since December after suffering a serious hamstring injury against Crystal Palace. The 23-year-old underwent surgery and missed three months of action. His absence disrupted Arsenal’s momentum during a critical phase of the season.
Arteta Confirms Saka Is “Getting Closer”
In a recent press conference, Arteta shared an encouraging update. “He’s getting closer. He’s stepping up and making very good progress,” he said. “Let’s see when we decide to throw him in, how he reacts and how fit he can get quickly.”
Arsenal’s medical team has carefully managed Saka’s rehabilitation. Arteta praised the winger’s attitude and determination. “His progress is really good; he’s willing, as we can imagine. We’re positive that in a few weeks, hopefully, he’ll be back,” he added.

Arsenal Eyes Boost Ahead of Key Fixtures
With crucial matches approaching, Arsenal hopes to welcome Saka back soon. The team’s title challenge has faltered, and they now focus on finishing strong in the Premier League and pushing deep into the Champions League.
Arteta stressed the importance of patience. “It’s important that Saka isn’t rushed back. That would have the opposite effect,” he said. The manager wants to ensure Saka returns fully fit and ready to contribute.
