Reports suggest that Arsenal are keen on signing former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, with the club’s manager Mikel Arteta believed to be fully supportive of the proposed move.

Arsenal is reportedly expressing interest in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season. The North London club, managed by Mikel Arteta, is looking to bolster its attacking options after a season plagued by injuries to key players like Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.

Sané, who has struggled for playing time under Bayern’s current manager Vincent Kompany, is seen as a valuable addition to Arsenal’s squad. The German international has started only 12 out of 21 domestic league matches this season and has not scored in over a month. Despite his reduced playing time, Sané’s talent and experience makes him an attractive target for Arsenal, especially given Arteta’s previous working relationship with him during their time at Manchester City.

According to German outlet Bild, Arsenal are looking to bolster their winger position and have set their sights on Bayern Munich’s Sane.

The 29-year-old winger joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2020 after spending four years at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola. During his time at Bayern, Sané has scored 56 goals and provided 50 assists in 209 games. However, his current season has been less impressive, with only four goals and assists combined.

Arsenal’s interest in Sané comes as the club aims to address its creativity and scoring issues in the final third. The Gunners have shown flashes of brilliance this season but have struggled to consistently convert their build-up play into goals.
